Starve the Money Laundering, Starve Corruption" Kuhirwa Daphine

In this speech from the Grand Finale of the Inter-University AML/CFT Public Speech Challenge 2026, Kuhirwa Daphine, a law student at Uganda Christian University, breaks down the stages of money laundering and the layered complexity of tackling it. She makes a striking central argument; when you starve money laundering, you starve corruption and you starve the financing of terrorism. For Daphine, the solution to breaking this chain lies squarely in strengthening the rule of law.
