Where The Blueprint explored European exploration, missionary expansion, commerce, slavery and colonial conquest, Blood and Sand turns toward another brutal chapter of African history: the enslavement of Africans across the Sahara, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean world, including the long slave-trading networks that carried African men, women and children eastward and northward for centuries. This song is not about competing over which history was worse. It is about refusing selective memory. If African people were enslaved, displaced, exploited or erased, that history deserves to be told regardless of who committed it. The Atlantic has spoken loudly in our collective memory.
