This special recording brings together all participants of the second round, capturing a unique moment of shared artistry, individuality, and musical dialogue. Composed for two violins and string orchestra, Cascade reflects the story of Nova Gorica and Gorizia — once one city, later divided, now united again as European Capitals of Culture 2025. The two violins represent distinct voices: sometimes in contrast, sometimes in harmony, always connected. The music flows between tension and unity, with subtle echoes of Giuseppe Tartini and Niccolò Paganini woven into its texture. Cascade is a reflection on borders, identity, and the power of culture to transcend division — a reminder that even separated worlds can resonate as one.
