24 lb Paper Bend Test: How Stiff Is 24 lb Bond (60 lb Offset, 90 gsm)?

How stiff is 24 lb bond paper? We clamp a sheet to a post and let it hang, then read where the free edge lands on the ruler. Same clamp, same post, same ruler for every paper in this series, so the results compare directly. Result: the sheet drops to about 1¾ inches on the ruler. What this paper is: 24 lb bond is the same sheet as 60 lb offset (or 60 lb text), about 90 gsm, uncoated. It is one step up from 20 lb copy paper, with a little more body in the hand and less show-through on two-sided printing. Typical uses: resumes, letterhead, training handouts, tutorials, and any document where the reverse side should not read through.
