High in the mountains, around 300 meters above sea level, a dangerous journey begins in search of a giant wild honeycomb.
Reaching the hive is only the first challenge. The hunters must travel through difficult terrain, climb into the forest canopy, approach a massive colony of wild bees, and work while thousands of bees swarm around them.
This is not a harvest that happens on the ground. The honeycomb is hidden high in the trees in a remote mountain environment, where every step, every climb, and every movement around the colony requires experience and control.
The 300-meter figure in this video refers to the approximate elevation of the area above sea level — not the vertical distance of the hunter above the ground.
Once the hive is reached, the real test begins. The hunters must get close enough to the giant honeycomb to harvest it while surrounded by an aggressive swarm protecting the colony.
The reward is wild honey taken directly from a massive natural comb, but getting there requires endurance, climbing skill, patience, and the ability to work under constant pressure from thousands of bees.
This video follows the full journey — from reaching the mountain forest and locating the hive to climbing the tree, confronting the swarm, and finally harvesting the giant wild honeycomb.
Would you make this journey for wild honey?
