TEZU: Multiple Cracks in the Newly Built Tezu Hospital: Who Will Take Responsibility? The newly constructed building of Tezu Zonal General Hospital, worth crores, is already showing alarming signs of structural defects, even being in an unused state. Multiple cracks have surfaced, raising serious safety concerns for both patients and medical staff. Following numerous complaints about substandard construction, Team ArunBhoomi inspected the site alongside the concerned Medical Officer (MO) and spoke over the phone with the Executive Engineer (EE) of PWD, the executing agency. (Note: Present MO TZH & EE PWD Tezu, were recently transferred to the district and had no involvement in the project's execution) Disturbed by the building’s deteriorating condition, Chief Editor Takam Sonia met with Deputy Commissioner, Lohit, and formally lodged a written complaint. He urged that the District Medical Officer (DMO) should not take over the building, considering its severe defects. Yet, a month has passed— 1. what action has the K.N Damo, DC Lohit has taken against the contractor and the executing agency? 2.
