OIL PAN LEAK FIXED - 2010 ACURA MDX - RTV GASKET REPLACED

2010 Acura MDX oil pan gasket failed, causing a leak that was getting progressively worse. The new "RTV" cost ten dollars at O'Reilly auto parts. The labor involved removing the cross member, the exhaust, and the oil pan. I carefully used a razor blade to scrape off the old RTV, then sprayed some brake clean to loosen any remaining gunk from the pan and wiped it off with some shop towels to clean the surface of the pan and of the engine, where the new RTV bonds. Once the RTV was placed on the pan, I reversed the job, putting the pan on, then the exhaust pipe and the cross member. Filled the oil and took it for a drive. The owner took the vehicle out the next day, and I checked the pan after he returned. It was clean and dry, so the repair was a success! Thank you for watching ‪@ye_traveling_minstrel‬
