Jurassic Park III Is NOT a Bad Movie... Don't Listen to the Critics

25 years later, it's time we give JURASSIC PARK III THE LOVE IT DESERVES! 🦖 In a world where Jurassic Park 3 is constantly dismissed as the weakest entry in the franchise, I'm here to make the case for why this movie deserves far more respect than it gets. Critics have had their say for long enough. Now it's time to talk about what makes this movie special. For me, Jurassic Park III (2001) isn't just another dinosaur movie. It's personal. I was only four years old when I saw it in theaters, and it's the first theatrical moviegoing experience I can actually remember. When the movie eventually came out on VHS, I watched it endlessly. It became one of those movies that helped shape my childhood, fueled my love for dinosaurs, and left a lasting impression on me that has stuck around for 25 years. And now, somehow, we're celebrating its 25th anniversary. I honestly can't believe it's been that long. So, in honor of this milestone, I'm revisiting a movie that has been unfairly overlooked, relentlessly criticized, and too often treated like a black sheep of the Jurassic Park franchise. From its intense dinosaur encounters and terrifying Spinosaurus to its fast-paced survival story and nostalgic early-2000s atmosphere, there's a lot to appreciate about Jurassic Park III. Is it a perfect movie? No. Does it have flaws? Absolutely. But does that mean it's a bad movie? Absolutely not. This is a personal video essay about nostalgia, childhood memories, the magic of seeing dinosaurs on the big screen, and why I believe Jurassic Park 3 deserves a second look. It's also a defense of a movie that has meant so much to me over the years, regardless of what the critics....or the "YouTube film critics" have to say about it. You don't have to think Jurassic Park III is the best movie in the franchise. But I hope this video reminds you that sometimes, a movie can be so much more than its flaws, its reviews, or its reputation. Happy 25th anniversary, Jurassic Park III (2001). You deserved better. And I'm still a fan after all these years. 🦕❤️ If you love Jurassic Park III, grew up watching it on VHS, or simply believe this movie deserves more appreciation, this one's for you!
