What does it mean to come home when the home you remember is gone? I grew up along the Ohio River in West Virginia, and some of the things I remember most are simple ones: a warm kitchen, an heirloom table, old recipes, and the feeling of being welcomed home. Today, I’m making one of those foods that takes me straight back there- West Virginia pepperoni rolls. This is the beginning of Green Valley Gable, a place where I’m trying to remember the feeling of home by making, learning, and keeping the old ways that shaped me.
