新宿歌舞伎町は、東京都新宿区にある日本最大の歓楽街です。 「眠らない街」 と呼ばれ、多くの飲食店、映画館、バー、ナイトクラブ、ホテルなどが密集しています。 名前の由来 は、かつてこの地に歌舞伎の演舞場を建設する計画があったことからきています。（しかし、実際には建設されませんでした。） 近年は、外国人観光客も多く訪れ、多様な文化が混ざり合う国際的なエリアとなっています。 活気あふれる一方で、夜は客引きなども多く、初めて訪れる際は注意が必要です。 このように、歌舞伎町は、エンターテインメントとナイトライフの中心地として知られています。 Shinjuku Kabukicho, located in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward, is Japan's largest entertainment district. Nicknamed the "sleeping town," it's packed with restaurants, movie theaters, bars, nightclubs, and hotels. The name comes from the fact that there were once plans to build a kabuki theater here (although the plan never actually came to fruition). In recent years, the area has become an international hub, attracting many foreign tourists and offering a diverse mix of cultures. While the area is vibrant, there are also many touts at night, so first-time visitors should exercise caution.
