Mazda 3 Oil Change 2014-2018 (2.0L, Step by Step)

Mazda 3 oil change, start to finish, on my 2015 Mazda 3 with the 2.0L engine. If you've been paying someone else to do this, this is your sign that you can absolutely do it yourself. It's one of the easiest first jobs to learn on your own car. This covers 3rd generation Mazda 3s (2014 to 2018 model years). What you need (2.0L SKYACTIV-G): Oil: 0W-20, 4.4 US quarts (4.2 L) with a filter change Filter: Mazda 1WPE-14-302 (supersedes PE01-14-302) Have the 2.5L? Same oil and filter, but it takes 4.8 US quarts (4.5 L). In this video: Checking the oil level and condition on the dipstick Finding the drain plug and oil filter Making sure the old filter's rubber gasket came off, so the new one seals Draining, swapping the filter, and refilling Double-checking the level before you drive off Logging the mileage and date for next time Quick correction: I say 6 quarts in the video. That's my RV brain talking. The 2.0L takes 4.4.
