The New Kulur Bridge across the Phalguni (Gurupura) River on NH-66, Mangaluru, has been under construction since 2021. Although it was originally scheduled for completion in October 2022, the project remains unfinished. In this latest ground-level update from October 2026, we look at the current construction progress, the reasons reported for the repeated delays, and the latest expected opening dates. NHAI has reportedly targeted the opening of one carriageway by the end of November 2026, with full project completion expected in May 2027 according to an August 2026 update.
