When people reduce you to a label

In this reflection, I explore what happens when people define someone by just one thing they see: their weakness, appearance, intelligence, age, disability, mistakes, circumstances, or beliefs. Through the story of a young man who refused to let a cruel comment define him, and the simple process of harvesting almonds and turning them into something new, this video reflects on labels, identity, human judgment, and what changes when we truly recognize who God is. Paul writes that God chose those considered foolish by human standards to shame the wise, and those considered weak to shame the strong. Jesus does something similar in the Beatitudes: He looks at people the world might overlook or pity and calls them blessed. When God becomes the measure, every other measure begins to lose its authority. You stop asking the world to tell you who you are.
