Brooklyn High School Virtual Concert Band "Valdres March"

Valdres March Johannes Hanssen Many artists and musicians have created a new platform for expression. It’s not as intimate or organic as a live show, but it can be just as impressive and emotive. As a music educator, the performance is the beautiful end to an insanely long and difficult walk, sometimes run, through valleys and peaks, ridges and canyons, and even the occasional Hurricane. Whether the performance is live or tetrised into miniature videos recorded in multiple homes, apartments and garages throughout Brooklyn, Ohio, the process, the walk together is what makes the end so beautiful. Playing the Valdres March by Johannes Hanssen, originally prepared for our concert performance on March 25th, the Brooklyn High School Band demonstrates what we can do together in this time of being apart.
