Sr Nimala Nazareth - General Reflection on Abuse of Women Within the Church

Sr Nirmala Alex Maria Nazareth, A.C., is the Superior General of the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel in India and serves as President of the Conference of Religious Women India (CRWI), representing over 100,000 Catholic sisters nationwide. In these capacities, she has been instrumental in advancing safeguarding initiatives and promoting synodality within the Church. Her leadership includes the establishment of grievance redressal mechanisms and the implementation of training programs focused on sexual harassment prevention and child protection.
