What happens when the ministry you planned looks very different from the ministry God gives you? Ángel Cardoza returned to the Dominican Republic after seminary eager to plant a church and begin training men for ministry. Then his father was diagnosed with cancer and passed away, difficulties arose within the church, and COVID brought challenges no seminary could have prepared him for. Through it all, the Lord taught Ángel patience, dependence, and trust in His purposes. Looking back on those years, Ángel shares what he would tell young men preparing for ministry today. Be a man of prayer. Love God and delight in His Word. Surround yourself with godly men who will shepherd and correct you. Love your wife and children. Above all, pursue faithfulness to Christ.
