Ali Sheikh, Pediatric Surgeon, explains two possible causes: inguinal hernia and hydrocele, and why proper medical assessment is important. 🔹 Inguinal Hernia: Occurs when tissue protrudes through a weak area in the lower abdominal wall into the groin or scrotum. 🔹 Hydrocele: A collection of fluid around the testicle that can cause swelling of the scrotum. Not every case of newborn scrotal swelling has the same cause. Parents should seek medical evaluation to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.
