A walkthrough of selected Recurrence Relations and Sigma Notation exam questions from the Pure material of the A-Level Maths course. The Recurrence Relations & The Sigma Notation topic is from within the Sequences & Series section of the A-Level course and is usually learnt in the early stages or Year 13 for those pupils trying to prepare for their A-Level Maths exams. The techiques that must be learnt are use of the constructing sequences using recurrence relations, spotting the pattern of the sequence may it be Arithmetic, Geometric or even Periodic, and Summing the given terms of these sequences using The Sigma Notation.
