Richard Wagner's Lohengrin In fernem Land in original two verses by Joshua Dennis and Robert Tweten

The Wagner Society of Santa Fe-USA presents tenor Joshua Dennis and pianist Robert Tweten perform the original and rarely performed two-verse version of “Gralserzählung" (Grail narrative) from the Act III of Richard Wagner's romantic opera "Lohengrin." The first verse leads with "In fernem Land" (In a distant land) and the second verse which describes the origin of Grail knights, of which Lohengrin's father Parsifal wears the king's crown, was omitted at the request of the composer at the opera's 1850 premiere in Weimar. Recorded live at a recital on June 2, 2023, at the Quail Run Clubhouse in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, it is part of the Wagner Society of Santa Fe's "For the Love of Opera" concert series featuring beloved Santa Fe Opera artists.
