Graupner Astroboat V-6000 | The Legendary Italian Speedboat Comes Back to Life! A true piece of RC boating history is back on the water! 🚤🔥 In this video, I take a closer look at the Graupner Astroboat V-6000, a legendary vintage RC model based on an Italian Guardia di Finanza speedboat. The full-size original was based on a 46-foot offshore racing hull designed by the famous Italian boat designer and racing engineer Fabio Buzzi. Powered by three 600 HP Seatek engines, the real boat was capable of speeds of around 140 km/h and even achieved success in the legendary Venice-Monte Carlo powerboat race. Graupner recreated this impressive machine as the Astroboat V-6000, a 1:20 scale RC model with a hull length of approximately 715 mm. This model is a fantastic combination of vintage Graupner engineering, Italian offshore racing history and classic RC boat design.
