Rio Grande 463: 120 Years of K-27 Freight

For the First Time Ever, Tristan Rail Productions Finally Goes out west to visit Narrow Gauge Country In Colorado/New Mexico, Along The Denver & Rio Grande Western Narrow Gauge Route, that has Been Around Since 1880. In this Video we Take you to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad Apart of Former Denver and Rio Grande Trackage, and Visit those Fantastic Historic Railroad, Probably One of the Most Scenic and Most Beautiful Steam Railroad in the United States! In this Video, Come along with us as we Tame the West along with some of the Historic Equipment, Locomotives, and the Same Scenery along the C&TS with One of their Many K- Class 2-8-2 Mikado Steam Locomotives, built in the Early 1900s, 1920s, and Later 1920s. One of Which we See Operating in this Video is Rio Grande K-27 2-8-2 No.463, This Little Mikado was Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1903, Working for the Denver & Rio Grande Western, until its Retirement on the Rio Grande, changing Hands Maybe times with Owners, Even in the Hands of Country Music Star, Gene Autry! Later being Sold to C&TS where she resides today, Now Restored! She's been one of the Railroads Work Horses for Years! Enjoy as we Attend a Photo Charter, and Too Celebrate No 463's Birthday Year, what way to do that, than a Photo Charter in 2023! The Photo Charter was Hosted by Dakota Dillon Photography, and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, We Capture many Great Locations Along the Antonito Side of the 62 Mile Long Railroad, Stopping at Famous Cascade Trestle! No.463 Performed Extremely Well, as she Glades along the Narrow Gauge Hauling Vintage Cattle Cars, Boxcar, and Gondolas, and a Caboose!
