🎶 What makes New Orleans music culture so different from anywhere else?
In this episode of In the Pocket with JayBo, I’m joined by Thomas Dean and Seth Boudoin for a conversation about the music, traditions and experiences that helped shape their lives.
We talk about everything from Mardi Gras parades, second lines and jazz funerals to LSU, music education, mentorship and what it means to carry New Orleans culture into the next generation. ⚜️🥁
Thomas has spent more than two decades as a band director at John Curtis Christian School, while Seth took his New Orleans musical roots through Holy Cross High School, LSU and now into his own band program in Colorado.
This episode is really about more than music. It’s about tradition, mentorship, community and the way music stays with us throughout our lives.
