Installing a Tailgate Assist Shock on a Ram Truck

One of the things I liked a lot about my Ram 1500 Sport was the shock installed on the tailgate. It's a little thing, but it meant that you could just release the gate handle and the gate would lower slowly instead of banging down. My Ram 2500 doesn't have this feature and I find myself missing it.. at least, I did until now.
