I transcribe them, kind of as per jazz/bebop culture... this is a playlist of videos where I go through live examples of that:    • Showing a process for learning pre-war blu...   Note 2 - Should you learn old folk music from me? Not totally sure quite honestly... ideally I think everyone should learn directly from the original recordings. So in a way I suggest not to watch my videos. Note 3 - How can you get better at fingerstyle guitar? My recommendation is to consider learning 3-5 songs by someone like Elizabeth Cotten, John Fahey, or Etta Baker. Then, play through those 3-5 songs each day. That's like 10min to 20min of giving your own concert. Also, you can record yourself doing so each day. By the 365th day, I'll bet it will sound better than the 1st day or 20th day. To tweak those parameters, now imagine if you did that with 6-10 songs, and/or if you did that each day for 2 years or 4 years.. etc etc. Note 4 - (Kind of a niche note) Why did I name the strings backwards in this channel's videos from 2011 to 2014ish? I just started doing it and decided to keep doing it to be consistent... much to my chagrin!
