Live at Zooloo Festival (Versoix, Switzerland) | Welcome to my full performance from Friday night at the Zooloo Festival! For those wondering how I build my sets, this is a true hybrid performance blending DJ techniques with pure live hardware improvisation. Over the course of the set, I play about seven of my own pre-produced studio tracks, but the rest is generated entirely on the fly. The workflow goes like this: while a studio track is playing, I start layering in live atmospheres and leads from my modular rig. As the track nears its end, I swap the kick and bass over to the modular, seamlessly mixing into a brand new, completely improvised track. It's like DJing, but I'm building the incoming track live right in front of you. I don't cue in headphones—I just trust my synthesizers. I set the knobs to a starting point and embrace the unpredictability, actively searching for the sound live. This approach creates a truly psychedelic experience where the sound is constantly morphing. It might start out simple, slowly mutate into something eerie and weird, and then snap back into its normal form before changing again. It’s a living, breathing musical journey that can only happen in the moment, completely impossible to replicate with cut-and-paste studio editing. Check out the full breakdown of my rig below!
