#PourAwayFluidArts #minavillegasart #3DResinTemplate #TLP #ArtResin Hello my Beautiful People! Welcome back to the garden studio! Today I am collaborating with Pour Away Fluid Arts in a really exciting project! I saw one of their videos on Facebook and was enthralled with the gorgeous resin art they were creating and had to try it out myself. You can check them out on Facebook, on YouTube and you can find their website at https://pourawayfluidarts.com/ They have so many different templates to choose from, and this is such a fun way to use resin or acrylic paint in a whole new way. Their 3D templates are essentially a one time use stencil that can be used with paint or resin. Lets get started! I am using Art Resin today. I am using This Little Piggy pigments today. You can check out all the pigments I use at www.Fluid-art.co I also got the resin there as well. This Little Piggy pigments: Cappuccino Cinnamon Horizon Honeycomb Prehnite SUP Boastful Grenache The first step is to clean off the substrate you are using. You can order acrylic 12x12 panels and aluminum panels from Pour Away Fluid Arts website. You can also use the templates on a canvas or wood panel. Once the substrate is clean, apply a small amount of resin and distribute it evenly on the panel. Then lay the 3D printed template into position in the resin and let it cure. I used about 1.5 ounces of resin and I probably should have used slightly less, in order to have more room inside the leaves. I recommend warming your resin slightly to make it easier to mix and spread. I use some bamboo skewers to help me spread the resin. Make sure you have baby wipes on hand when working with resin. It took me a minute to get comfortable applying the resin. Because I was using a heating pad, my resin was very liquid and runny. It may have been slightly easier if it had been a bit cooler then it would not have spread so quickly. I finally figured out to add the resin to the leaves one drop at time so that I did not over fill them. I did over fill several and show you how I clean them up. I did spend quite some time cleaning up the final piece. I cannot stress this enough, be careful applying the resin so you dont get overflow. Much easier to apply it slowly and precisely rather then spend a lot of time cleaning up. I also dipped my skewer in the resin and applied it that way to some of the very skinny parts of the branches. Out of all the templates they sell I picked the most finicky one to do for my first one haha.. I really enjoyed working with the 3d printed templates. They are really beautiful, even before I added any resin to them, but once the colors and shimmer were there they really came alive. I hope you will give the 3D templates a try, they really are fun! Jonny was very very nice and helpful and was happy to answer any questions I might have had, You can find them at https://pourawayfluidarts.com/ The final piece is drying in my studio, I really wanted to show it to you in the sun but resin takes time to cure. I do apologize, tis the season of the flu and 3 out of 4 people in my house have it haha.. (this is why i got started later than I wanted) I would like to ask a favor of you please.
