HOW TO USE Select full screen and the highest available YouTube quality. For HDR checks, the quality menu must show HDR. Available resolution and HDR depend on the device, app and display; an SDR version cannot assess HDR highlights. Hide player controls. Pause static patterns for more time. For pixel inspection, inspect the whole display after labels clear. Use the download to reduce streaming-compression effects, with an HDR-capable player and output path. Near-black steps should emerge gradually; highlight patches help reveal clipping or tone mapping. The blooming target has no source glow. Fine-line widths and motion speeds refer to 8K source pixels. Scaling, streaming compression and display settings affect results. This is a visual diagnostic aid, not calibrated brightness, color or resolution certification. It does not repair dead pixels.
