🕉️ Kageshwori Mahadev Mandir- The Hidden Gem of Kathmandu Located in Kageshwori Manohara-1, Gagalphedi, just 1 hour from Kathmandu, near Shivapuri National Park. It is one of the sacred 64 Shiva Lingas of Nepal. Name comes from 'Kag' = Crow and 'Ishwor' = God. Legend says a crow discovered Lord Shiva's Linga here, and since then crow is worshipped as a messenger of God. Surrounded by lush forest, waterfalls, and peace - perfect for hiking and spiritual escape. 🙏 Kageshwori Mahadev Mandir is an ancient and sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in northeast Kathmandu in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality. Believed to date back to Licchavi era. When Lord Shiva disappeared from Kailash, Brahma, Vishnu and Parvati searched everywhere. Finally a crow (Kag) gave the information that Mahadev was found at this place - hence named Kageshwori. On this day a Golden Crow idol is displayed for worship. कागेश्वरी महादेव मन्दिर - काठमाडौंको उत्तर-पूर्व, कागेश्वरी मनोहरा नगरपालिका-१ गागलफेदीमा अवस्थित पवित्र धाम। ६४ शिवलिंगमध्ये एक मानिने यो मन्दिर लिच्छवीकालीन हो। किंवदन्ती अनुसार कागले शिवलिंग पत्ता लगाएकोले कागेश्वरी नाम रहन गएको हो। हरेक वर्ष भदौ शुक्ल अष्टमीका दिन यहाँ ठूलो मेला लाग्छ, जहाँ स्नान गरेमा कागदोष हट्ने र मनोकामना पूरा हुने विश्वास छ।
