Smoky, sticky BBQ chicken thighs cooked low and slow on a Weber Kettle! 🍗 In this video I cook 2kg of bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs over oak smoke on the Weber, using a simple BBQ rub and finishing them with a sticky BBQ glaze. The result is incredibly tender, smoky chicken with a dark, glossy BBQ coating. This is an easy Weber Kettle chicken recipe that doesn't need a fancy smoker. Just indirect heat, good smoke and a simple BBQ glaze. I genuinely think I accidentally made my favourite chicken ever. I put the chicken on the Weber kettle with a simple BBQ rub and plenty of oak smoke. The plan was to wrap them in a tray with butter and BBQ sauce halfway through the cook. I forgot. So I just kept cooking them until they were incredibly tender, then glazed them at the end until the sauce turned dark, glossy and ridiculously sticky. The result was smoky, juicy, fall-apart chicken with a proper BBQ lacquer. Sometimes the best BBQ happens when you mess up the plan. 🔥 Maximum flavour. Minimal gear. The Rub 2 tbsp paprika 2 tsp garlic granules 2 tsp onion granules 1½ tsp coriander powder 1 tsp Colman's mustard powder 1 tsp mild chilli powder 1 tsp black pepper Chicken 2kg bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs 22g salt for the dry brine To Finish BBQ sauce Butter Cooked indirectly on the Weber kettle at around 175–185°C with oak smoke, then glazed and basted towards the end of the cook. #BBQ #WeberKettle #ChickenThighs #WeberBBQ #BBQChicken #SmokingMeat #KettleDawg
