My Biggest Sweetlip and My First Golden Snapper | Spearfishing Pakistan

Miss after miss. A spear that bounced off, a sweetlip, a good-size grouper I missed completely, and a spear wedged between the rocks that took dive after dive to pull out. Then I saw two golden snappers ahead of me, and I shot my first ever golden snapper. It started at French Beach with a boat that would not start. We jump-started it from the truck and headed toward Gaddani in the cold. One stop was a shipwreck, with so many ghost nets lying around and the stairs and chimney still visible. Adil bhai and ustad Mannan Sheikh both landed golden snappers, Mannan bhai shot a giant grouper they had to work out from inside, and I shot the biggest sweetlip of my life while my camera was switched off. You see it later with the catch. Then low tide. We pushed the boat across shells and sharp rocks and came home with cut feet. Later the grouper went on the scale at about 15 kilos and made every golden snapper look small, we met Khalid Machliwala at his fish stall in Rehman Goth, and I made fish steak for the first time.
