Ranjani and Gayatri render Rangapura Vihara in Raga Brindavana Saranga set to Rupaka Tala, a majestic portrayal of Ranganatha of Srirangam. The composition invokes Him as Sheshanka Shayana, the Lord reclining upon Adisesha, while also revealing His identity as Rama through names such as KodanDa Rama, Raghuveera and Pattabhirama. Rendered with just voices and tambura, the piece unfolds with serenity, grandeur and devotion. Spread across nearly 156 acres, Srirangam is one of the largest living Hindu temple complexes in the world. Its seven concentric prakaras lead inward to the reclining Ranganatha beneath the golden vimana, an image beautifully reflected in the composition itself. 100 sacred temples of Tamil Nadu - a project in the making. Their history, architecture, and stories told through stunning photography. A select few temples have the distinction of being "paaDal peTTra sthalam" meaning temples whose Gods and stories have been celebrated by saints through songs. Ranjani and Gayatri have selected some of the most cherished songs that are composed on each temple and deities. The uniqueness of this project is that each temple comes alive through multiple lenses: the historian, the pilgrim, the social psychologist, and musician. #Rangapuravihara #ranjanigayatri #srirangam #dikshitar Credits: Sung by Ranjani and Gayatri Historian & Author: Pradeep Chakravarthy, P.hD, www.pradeepchakravarthy.com Video Production: StudioA Team Recorded and mastered by Sai Shravanam at Resound India Additional editing and inputs from Eppo Nexus, epponexus.com rangapura vihAra jaya kOdaNDarAmAvatAra raghuvIra shrI angaja janaka dEva bRndAvana sArangEndra varada ramAntaranga shyAmalAnga vihanga turanga sadayApAnga satsanga pankajAptakula jalanidhi sOma vara pankaja mukha paTTAbhirAma padapankaja jitakAma raghurAma vAmAnka gata sItAvara vESa shESAnka shayana bhakta santOSa ENAnkaravi nayana mRdutarabhASa akaLanka darpaNa kapOla vishESa muni-sankaTa haraNa gOvinda vENkaTa ramaNa mukunda sankarSaNa mUla kanda shankara guruguhAnanda
