MORE THAN THE BLESSING

"More Than The Blessing" is an original modern indie-pop worship song inspired by 1 Corinthians 2:9. This intimate and atmospheric acoustic track is a prayer of total surrender, shifting our focus from seeking God's hands (His gifts) to seeking His face (His presence). In a world where we often chase temporary miracles, this song reminds us that the greatest treasure is the Giver Himself. Perfect for your personal prayer time, morning devotion, or quiet reflection. 📖 1 Corinthians 2:9 - "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 🎵 Chorus Lyrics: [Verse 1] We gather around just to see what You'll do Seeking the wonders but missing the truth Chasing the temporary, blind to the grace Wanting Your hands but ignoring Your face But there is a glory that words cannot hold A beauty no mortal could ever unfold Beyond every vision, beyond every sound A deeper reality waiting to be found [Pre-Chorus] Lord, I've been guilty of wanting the prize While keeping my heart in a clever disguise It's more than a melody, more than a plea It's taking the cross and surrendering me [Chorus] For eyes have not seen, and ears have not heard The wonders prepared for the ones who return Not just with their lips, but in walking the truth Laying their lives down in reverence to You! Oh, take every idol, tear down every throne More than the blessing, I want You alone! [Verse 2] When valleys are deep and the answers are slow When shadows are long and my spirit is low I won't build an altar to what I can gain I'll worship Your majesty even in pain Dying to self so Your Spirit can lead You are the only provision I need [Bridge] You are the treasure! You are the prize! Open my spirit, and open my eyes! More than the healing, more than the gold! The greatest of mysteries my heart could hold! Not what You give, but who You are! Be the Lord of my life, the King of my heart! [Outro] Just You... I only want You. Not just the blessing. I want the Giver. I want Your heart. Amen.
