Who are you, beyond your body, mind, and emotions? Ancient Hindu philosophy offers a fascinating framework for understanding human existence through the concept of Pancha Kosha — the Five Sheaths. According to this teaching, our experience of existence can be understood through five interconnected layers, from the physical body to the innermost sheath of bliss. By exploring these layers, we begin to question our identification with the body, thoughts, emotions, and intellect, and turn our attention toward the deeper nature of the Self. In this video, we explore the meaning and spiritual significance of all five Koshas: 🔹 1. Annamaya Kosha — The Physical Sheath The body sustained by food, subject to growth, aging, and change. 🔹 2. Pranamaya Kosha — The Vital Energy Sheath The life force associated with breath, vitality, and the body's vital functions. 🔹 3. Manomaya Kosha — The Mental and Emotional Sheath The realm of thoughts, feelings, desires, and emotional reactions. 🔹 4. Vijnanamaya Kosha — The Sheath of Intellect and Wisdom The faculty of discernment, understanding, and decision-making. 🔹 5. Anandamaya Kosha — The Sheath of Bliss The subtlest of the five sheaths, associated with bliss. But is the deepest sheath the ultimate Self? Or does the spiritual journey involve going beyond all five layers? Discover how the Pancha Kosha teaching invites us to look inward, understand our different dimensions of existence, and explore the nature of Atman — the true Self. This video draws on the wisdom of Hindu philosophy and the Upanishadic tradition to present these profound ideas in a simple, visual, and accessible way. 🙏 Subscribe to Sanatan Veda for more videos on Hindu philosophy, the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, spirituality, and the deeper meaning of Sanatana Dharma. #PanchaKosha #HinduPhilosophy #SelfRealization
