Iceman Cometh Pro/Cat 1 - 2025 (XCO)

Ugh, tough day. Legs felt completely dead from the start, I had no snap and I just wasn't able to put out any power. It didn't help that I started too far back and then lost another 20+ positions due to guy in front of me bobbling his clip in. What little power I had was gone trying to reattach to the group. The past two months of recovery, 15 lbs of weight gain and a failed taper left me hopelessly clinging on the back of the field for dear life. Eventually settled into my own pace and managed to keep a steady pace, but it felt horrible the entire time. Luckily I found a wheel to attach to along with a few others and they dragged me to the finish. Happy to not have made any mistakes or any crashes, so I'll take that as a silver lining.
