See Minnkeragh, the Ballroom of Romance, The railway station, what's left of the big house of the landlord. The Gilguns from this part of the US are descended from two lines of Gilgun(s): Bridget Gilgunn who married Thomas Gilgun. Thomas was born in Minnkeragh, County Leitrim, in 1874. Thomas' parents, Bridget and Thomas, were born in 1830 and married in 1855. No one knows where Bridget was born except probably not too far from Minnkerragh.
