Azima Dhanjee & Arhum Ishtiaq Co-founders ConnectHear Azima Dhanjee and Arhum Ishtiaq, co-founded ConnectHear at the age of 19, with the vision of making communication and information accessible for the Deaf community. Azima is raised by Deaf parents and sign language is her mother tongue whereas Arhum is a machine learning professional always passionate about using tech for social impact. ConnectHear started as just a Facebook page aimed to teach sign language. From the initial days, it was met with support from the community and companies who were looking out for sign language interpreters. It immediately attracted organisations for partnership, conducted a Deaf-inclusive concert, worked for election accessibility for the Deaf and started producing info-tainment videos in sign language. Since its launch, ConnectHear has served more than 1,000,000 minutes of sign language interpretation through its virtual sign language interpretation application which is completely free of cost for the Deaf community and worked with 100+ companies as their accessibility consultants. The company most recently won TiE Women Global Competition among 40+ global chapters. ConnectHear has also been recognized by The Diana Awards, World Summit Award, Draper University and Forbes for its impact and growth. Pakistan Super League is a franchise T20 cricket tournament organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Top international and local cricketers represent six cities of Pakistan.
