Fixing more fans with bearing issues

It got warm a few days ago and we needed to use some of the cross ventilation fans we have for our condo...and while watching youtube....I suddenly had to track down a horrible screeching noise..and it was one of the fans that pulls air in from outside. So I had to take that one apart, clean the bearings and re-oil..and then the noise went away. So then I did a clean up with wire wheels for the rust and painted it to help prevent more rust. Is it perfect, nope...wasn't supposed to be, just was supposed to be better and something that can go back into service, and that worked fine. Then as an added bonus, since I had another fan which was not spinning up as fast as it used to, I checked the before/after amp draw, cleaned and oiled that one, and it is at least as good as before, maybe better. So that lets us avoid buying new fans for a bit longer...and keeps two fans out of the recycle bin. That is a success.
