He is the youngest of six siblings. In 1969, the family moved to Nhlaniki village in Giyani, where he began his education at Hlakheto School. At the age of 17, he started working on tomato farms. In 1988, the Ntlemo family relocated to the Marikana hostels in North West to work in the mines. It was during this time that he purchased his first guitar, allowing him to practice and hone his music and composition skills. His musical talent resonated with those around him, and many encouraged him to record his music due to its relatable nature. In 1991, Ntlemo made the journey to Johannesburg in search of a recording company. There, he met Jabu Moses Dlamini from CCP and collaborated with the Soul Brothers, who advised him to return later for studio time arrangements. MG Ntlemo eventually recorded his debut album, U tirha Number 1, which includes tracks such as Ndzi dyiwe Xivongo and Niholeli niya kaya Mininjere. This marked the beginning of his rise to fame as a household name. He established his own company, Moza Rose Music, with the support of Dan Nkosi, and released several hit singles, including Xintlen'wane and Mahostele, across 15 albums. In 2005, he received an award at the Mungana Lonene FM Xitsonga Music Awards. Throughout his career, MG Ntlemo collaborated with various artists such as Sunglen Chabalala, Flora Chauke, Rose Ntlemo, Nurse Mtlala, Chukumetani, and Moskorido, among others. Today, MG Ntlemo remains active in the music scene, composing new music and working alongside Moses Makhubele, better known as Moskorido, who remixed Xintlen'wane for his album. MG Ntlemo continues to create fresh music with the assistance of Moskorido and Ettas Makamu.
