Ministered on 10.17.16 One of the lessons I'm learning and sharing through my Singleness Series is that our lives don't have to be put on hold during the waiting. There is a beautiful life to be lived, a relationship with Christ to cultivate, and a Kingdom assignment to walk in right now. In the first episode of the Singleness Series, Becoming One with Christ, we explore what it means to make His presence our greatest desire. To find contentment in Him, delight in His presence, and build a life that is rooted in Him in every season 🌱 Before we take on the responsibility of building a life with someone else, we should be intentional about understanding what God has called us to do in life. Our purpose is not something we should procrastinate or abandon. Rather, in episode #02 we learn, when two people are walking in God's will, their assignments can complement one another, allowing them to magnify God's glory together instead of diminishing what He has placed within each of them. This dance is a personal expression of those very lessons. As a dance minister, worship is one of the ways God has equipped me to serve, communicate His truth, and reach others. On this special occasion, I had the opportunity to minister to my family through dance as we celebrated my great-aunt's 80th birthday. It was a reminder that our Kingdom assignments aren't only lived out on platforms or in front of large audiences. Sometimes, they're fulfilled right where God has placed us, among the people He has given us the opportunity to love and serve. “Your Presence Is My One Desire” is more than the lyrics of this song.
