Thule T2 Pro XT bike rack locking mechanism failure

Here is the issue with the locking mechanism with the Thule T2 Pro XT hitch mounted bike rack where the lock fails to engage at the very end, making for an insecure connection. Thule refuses to change just the locking pin mechanism forcing you into buying the whole stinger assembly which at $600+ is quite a significant cost. I believe they know this locking mechanism to be a weakness but they're not addressing it! When I presented this video to them they said that my hitch is rusty! Haha, which hitch doesn't get rusty after staying on for winter biking in salty conditions etc. but the hitch is just fine, it's Thule refusing to warranty their rack. This could ultimately lead to a massive failure or at the very least make it prone to stealing, as it's definitely not securely wedged in!
