Kaitlyn Dever’s Lesbian Character in Dopesick on Hulu 👏🏼

Dopesick on Hulu follows America’s opioid crisis through several interconnected stories — including Betsy Mallum, a closeted lesbian coal miner played by Kaitlyn Dever. Betsy’s story begins in a small Virginia mining community, where she is hiding her relationship with Grace while trying to live up to the expectations of her deeply religious family. But after a work injury leads to a prescription for OxyContin, her life begins to change in ways she could never have imagined. Dopesick is not a queer series, and Betsy’s sexuality is not the main focus of the show. But her relationship with Grace, the pressure of living closeted, and Kaitlyn Dever’s incredibly vulnerable performance make Betsy one of the characters that stayed with me the most. 📺 Series: Dopesick (2021) Currently streaming on Apple TV and Hulu Cast: Kaitlyn Dever as Betsy Mallum Michael Keaton as Dr. Samuel Finnix Rosario Dawson as Bridget Meyer Will Poulter as Billy Cutler If you enjoyed the video, drop a LIKE and leave a comment — it seriously helps more than you know 🙏✨ THANK YOU ❤️ If you are looking for sapphic characters, lesbian storylines, queer women on TV, or simply an exceptionally powerful limited series, Dopesick is absolutely worth discovering. #Dopesick #KaitlynDever #BetsyMallum #Sapphic #LesbianStoryline #QueerTV #WLW #Hulu #LGBTQTV #QueerWomen
