Chole Bhature Recipe for 6 People 😋 Ingredients for Bhature Maida (All-Purpose Flour) – 600 g Suji (Semolina) – ¼ cup Curd (Yogurt) – as required Yeast – ½ teaspoon Sugar – a little Salt – a little Lukewarm Water – as required Oil – 2 tablespoons Method for Making Bhature 1. Take a small bowl and add ½ teaspoon yeast, a little sugar, and some salt to lukewarm water. Keep it aside until the yeast becomes activated and starts to foam. 2. In a separate bowl, take the maida and add the suji and curd. 3. Add the activated yeast mixture and knead everything together to make a soft dough. 4. While kneading, gradually add 2 tablespoons of oil. 5. The dough should be soft and slightly loose. Cover it and let it rest for 15–20 minutes. 6. Divide the dough into small portions and prepare the bhature. 7. In summer, normal or cool water works well for kneading, while in winter, lukewarm water is preferable. Why do we add sugar? Sugar helps with fermentation and also gives the bhature a beautiful golden-brown colour when fried. Ingredients for Chole Chickpeas (Chole) – approximately 350–400 g for 6 people A little amla (Indian gooseberry) Tea leaves – tied in a small muslin cloth Oil – as required Bay leaves Cloves Black cardamom Garam masala Ginger Anardana (dried pomegranate seeds) Tomatoes Green chillies Ginger juliennes Method for Making Chole 1. Soak the chickpeas overnight, or for approximately 8 hours, and boil them until cooked. 2. To give the chickpeas a dark colour, add a little amla and a small muslin pouch containing tea leaves while boiling them. 3. Heat oil in a kadai and add bay leaves, cloves, black cardamom, garam masala, and ginger. 4. Add tomatoes, and cook to prepare the gravy. 5. Add the boiled chickpeas and mix everything well. 6. Let the chole boil once again so that all the flavours blend together nicely. 7. Garnish with green chillies and ginger juliennes. Your delicious chole are ready! Masala Potatoes 1. Boil the potatoes until they are cooked but not too soft. 2. Cut them into large pieces. 3. Lightly fry the potato pieces and prepare them with a little masala. 4. Serve one potato with each portion of chole for an extra delicious combination. Serving Suggestion Serve hot and fluffy bhature with spicy chole, masala potatoes, and your favourite pickle. You can serve green chilli pickle, radish pickle, carrot pickle, or any other homemade pickle prepared with spices. Enjoy this delicious Chole Bhature with your family and friends!
