I needed to add a cabinet to my van conversion when the walls were already finished. I have no furring strips underneath my wall panels so must connect directly to the van frame. So I only wanted any kind of furring strips or attachments to be localized to the cabinet and not extend beyond it as they would then be visible atop the panelling already on the walls.
