FalconCam 2026 08 31 1812 bat escapes Gimbir

A microbat almost becomes prey when brought to the box by Gimbir, but manages to escape. Gimbir gives chase (you can just see the bat on the tower cam if you look closely; it veers off to the left), but gives up and comes back to a wailing Diamond for a pair-bonding (a bit one sided). Bats are unusual prey. Since 2012 only four have been identified and these were all caught in the very early morning, but I suspect there have been others not identified or not brought back to the box, but eaten on the tower.
