Alkaline Trio - Drum Addiction: 2009 This Addiction Session Footage - Derek Grant Drum Tracking

Footage from the recording of Alkaline Trio’s This Addiction album in August, 2009 at Atlas Studios (RIP), Chicago, Illinois. There’s not much footage of this session aside from what you see here and a few additional takes of the same songs. The video starts with us working out the arrangement for The American Scream including a bridge that I completely forgot about (which became the basis for an instrumental track we recorded for Fender). This must have been early on as the album arrangement was in place by the end of pre-production. The second half of the video is the first two pre-production takes of Draculina.
