I look at the MTT Y2K Turbine Superbike, a street-legal motorcycle running an actual Rolls-Royce Allison 250 helicopter turbine, built in a small shop in Franklin, Louisiana. In this documentary I get into how Ted McIntyre used an FAA loophole to buy retired Bell Jet Ranger and Kiowa engines for cheap, why 320 horsepower at 52,000 RPM feels nothing like a normal bike, and what happens when you ride something with zero engine braking. I also cover Jay Leno's serial number 002, the melted bumper story, the two Guinness World Records this thing holds, and how it evolved into the Street Fighter and the 420RR. This is what happens when someone decides motorcycles don't need pistons.
