Round 12 of the DNA WRC 2026 Championship takes us to Rally Chile in the WRC1 class. After winning in Pacifico, the goal was to carry that momentum into another strong round. Instead, Day 1 turned from bad to worse almost immediately. 🇨🇱 Rally Chile - Trouble Before the Start The first warning came already on the shakedown, where I had a technical issue with my Fanatec equipment. That was frustrating enough, but once the rally properly started, things became even more difficult. On SS2 and SS3, I made two completely unnecessary mistakes that damaged both the radiator and steering. Not the start I wanted. 🔄 SS4 - Brief Recovery SS4 was finally much better. I managed to settle down, regain some focus and put together a stronger stage. For a moment, it looked like I had finally reset the rally and could start recovering. Then came SS5. 💥 SS5 - Everything Falls Apart The disaster started almost immediately. Right after the beginning of the stage, I spun. Shortly afterward, I clipped a rock and was thrown into a tree, causing immediate damage to the radiator, turbo and engine — components I had only just repaired. I tried to continue. But the turbo progressively started dying, which made the car slower and harder to manage. Then I clipped another rock, was pulled into the bank and spun again, causing a puncture. I stopped and repaired it. But the stage still had around 12 km remaining. 🛞 Second Puncture - Time to Stop With the steering already damaged, keeping the car under control became much harder. Eventually, I lost control again, clipped another rock and suffered a second puncture. At that point, there was simply no reason to keep forcing the issue. I decided to stop for the day. Continuing would only risk more damage, more time loss and potentially destroy the entire rally. 🧠 Sometimes Stopping Is the Better Strategy The decision costs a lot of time. But it also preserves resources. By stopping when I did, I was able to save tires for the next set of stages, which should make tire management much easier through the remainder of the rally. With the amount of damage already accumulated, continuing purely out of frustration would probably have made the situation even worse. So Day 1 ends badly. But the rally is still alive. 🔥 Now the Recovery Begins From here, the approach has to completely change. There is no room left for unnecessary mistakes. I need to push hard, but also drive as cleanly as possible. The goal is no longer necessarily to fight for the win. It is to recover as much as possible and collect every championship point still available. What makes this Day 1 even more frustrating is that several of the mistakes happened in almost identical places and in very similar ways. Something I almost never do. Definitely one of those sessions where everything seems to go wrong at once. 📊 Day 1 Summary 🎮 Game: EA SPORTS WRC 🏆 Championship: DNA WRC 2026 🏁 Round: 12 🚗 Class: WRC1 🇨🇱 Rally: Chile 🥇 Previous round: Win in Pacifico ⚠️ Shakedown: Fanatec technical issue 💥 SS2 & SS3: Mistakes causing radiator & steering damage 🔄 SS4: Strong recovery stage 💥 SS5: Spin, rock impact and tree collision 🔧 Damage: Radiator, turbo, engine & steering 🛞 Punctures: 2 🛑 Decision: Stop for the day 🎯 Benefit: Tires preserved for later stages 🔥 Next goal: Maximum recovery and championship points 🎥 Camera: Onboard 📺 Resolution: 4K 🏁 Conclusion Day 1 of Rally Chile was one of those sessions where almost everything went wrong. A Fanatec issue on shakedown. Mistakes on SS2 and SS3. A brief recovery on SS4. Then complete chaos on SS5. Spin. Rock. Tree. Radiator damage. Turbo damage. Engine damage. Two punctures. At that point, stopping was the only sensible decision. A lot of time has been lost, but the tires are preserved and the rally is not over. Now the job is simple: Reset. Push cleanly. Avoid every unnecessary mistake. And recover as many points as possible. Rally Chile. Day 1. A disaster but not the end. Never Give Up. #inowack #onboard #simRacing #simulation #simulator #playstation #ps5 #playstationgames #simracingjourney #simracingdad #racinggames #motorsport #esports #eracing #racing #fanatec #nextlevelracing #live #pcgaming #pcracing #EASPORTSWRC #DNAWRC #WRC1 #RallyChile #ChileRally #SimRally #WRC #RallyGaming #Onboard #4K
