[CCM]🌿 THE BIBLE — THEIR PRAYERS | #05 Noah’s Prayer Through Judgment, Through Grace, Into a New Beginning “What might Noah have prayed?” The earth was filled with violence, and God’s heart was grieved. Then, upon a quiet mountain, Noah heard a voice: “Build an ark for yourself.” There was no sea in sight. Yet Noah bowed before God and began to build. Day after day, year after year, the people laughed at him. They saw an old man building a ship on a mountain and called him foolish. More than a hundred years passed. Even Noah must have wondered: “Will the rain really come?” But he held on to God’s promise and lifted the hammer again. Then one day, the laughter stopped. The heavens grew dark. The fountains of the deep broke open, and the rain began to cover the earth. Noah and his family entered the ark, and God Himself shut the door. Beyond the raging waters, Noah heard people calling, hands striking against the door, and voices crying out for mercy. And in imagining Noah’s heart in that moment, I felt that his salvation could not have been a moment of simple rejoicing. “Lord, I was saved, but I could not rejoice alone. I watched a dying world and wept before You through the night.” Perhaps this was another kind of suffering—the spiritual pain of hearing the cries of those outside while knowing that the door had been shut. Yet even in that terrifying moment, Noah came to understand something deeply: It was only grace. Not his righteousness. Not his strength. Only God’s grace and God’s hand carried them through the waters. The flood eventually ended. The ark came to rest upon the mountains of Ararat, and after the long silence, God sent the wind and the waters began to fall. Then, through the clouds, a rainbow appeared. God gave Noah and his family a new beginning. And Noah’s prayer was no longer simply about surviving judgment. It became a prayer for how to live after grace: “Now let our lives become worship. Let Your goodness flow across this renewed earth. And let every day we live be turned toward You.” This is what I wanted to hold onto through Noah’s prayer: To pass beyond judgment, to receive grace, and to live the new life God has given us as an offering of worship. May our lives, too, become something beautiful in the eyes of God—not merely because we have survived the storms, but because we choose to walk with Him on the new ground He has given us. May their prayers become our prayers. May their tears become our tears. May their faith awaken our faith.🙏 From Their Hearts to Our Prayer 🎵 THE BIBLE — THEIR PRAYERS | #05 Noah’s Prayer Written & Composed by Laura Yang All lyrics and music © BibleMusic KCLC.
