Oh yes, it's rare album time once again! This time I have an interesting group that I discovered on a KAJZ 93.3 FM compilation CD out of all things (shoutout to Antone's Record Shop for the bargain deal). I went immediately to look up more from The Brew after "Latin Cruise" started playing, but I was surprised to find that none of their recordings were available on any streaming service. They do have a website where you can buy their music and learn more about the group (https://www.brewmusic.com). Also, many of The Brew's more recent performances at local Austin venues can be found online. However, I felt like this album needed to be shared here in full for more people to appreciate. Definitely support this awesome family band from Texas if you can! Tracklist: 1. Latin Cruise (0:00) 2. A Prayer for Dylan (5:10) 3. Miss Chelsea (9:54) 4. Let's Get Busy (14:02) 5. Rio Vista (19:00) 6. Taming of the Brew (23:37) 7. We Can Work It Out (27:58) 8. Luna Caliente (32:49) 9. Duane's Tragedy (37:10) 10. You're the Biggest Part of Me (41:10) The Brew Is: Michael Rodriguez - Lead Guitar Joe Rodriguez - Percussion Mark Rodriguez - Bass Guitar Dexter Walker - Drums Guest Musicians: Mark Breithaupt - Trumpet Bob Myers - Trumpet (on "Let's Get Busy") Joe Morales - Saxophone Joel Guzman - Keyboards Willie Santiago - Percussion (on "Rio Vista") Spencer Starnes - Bass (on "Rio Vista") John Blondell - Trombone Jamie Hilboldt - Keyboards Produced by Michael Rodriguez and Joel Guzman Executive Producer - P.J. Rojas Recorded at Bee Creek Studios and Arlyn Studios in Austin, Texas Mixed at Pedernales Studios in Austin, Texas Mastered at Terra Noval Digital Audio in Austin, Texas Engineered by Spencer & Steve Starnes Design: Philip Rodriguez Photography: Ric Moore All Songs Written by Michael Rodriguez Except "You're the Biggest Part of Me" (Ambrosia), "Taming of the Brew" (Joel Guzman), and "Duane's Tragedy" (Joe, Mark, Michael, & Rudy Rodriguez) *Side Note: This video was copyright flagged because YouTube detected that the last track on the album had the same melody as Ambrosia's original composition of "Biggest Part of Me". How freaky is it that they can analyze audio in that way nowadays?
