“Enough is enough. I have been hearing from 4th May…” That was the striking observation made by *Calcutta High Court Justice Saugata Bhattacharya* while hearing a petition filed by Abhishek Banerjee challenging an FIR related to allegations involving medicines, clinical practice and medical negligence. The date mentioned by the judge — May 4 — is significant in the political context of West Bengal, as the script notes that it was the day election results were announced and the government changed. The court then made another important observation: “I have personally seen three complaints. Nothing is connected to the petitioner.” Banerjee’s counsel, Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, told the court that there were **16 complaints**, with **7 allegedly filed by the same person**, described in the hearing as a political opponent who had lost elections to Banerjee twice. The judge also questioned the necessity of custodial interrogation and asked a pointed question regarding the medicine allegation: But the judge also warned that if the pattern continues, the court could consider a **blanket order preventing further FIRs**. And that raises the larger question: *When 16 complaints are made against one person, 7 allegedly by the same political opponent who has lost elections to him twice — is it simply a series of legitimate complaints, or can repeated legal action become a form of political contest by another route?* The court has not declared the allegations false. The investigation is still underway. *But the questions raised in court are impossible to ignore.* What do you think — *justice through the legal process, or politics continuing through complaints and FIRs?* Comment below. 👇 #AbhishekBanerjee #CalcuttaHighCourt #SaugataBhattacharya #WestBengal #WestBengalPolitics #TMC #BJP #IndianPolitics #PoliticalNews #LegalNews #CourtHearing #HighCourt #FIR #Judiciary #IndianJudiciary #LawAndPolitics #BreakingNews #PoliticalControversy #IndiaNews #Justice -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For promotions and Collaborations reach us on- enquire@lawchakra.in Follow us on Twitter:-   / lawchakra   Follow us on Whatsapp : https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaP5...
